Hello errybudy.

At 5pm U.T.C./G.M.T. (bout half an hour away), there will be a small competition.

Only prize is your pride and bragging rights, and around here, that's big.

You can use whatever methods you wish, the only condition is: Your CPU must pass Intel Burn Test Standard Preset without crashing.

To enter, please post below your motherboard, CPU, and current clock speed/voltage.

Entries close at 6pm, please post a pic of your CPU-Z Validation next to a completed IBT Standard.

The comp will continue for anywhere between 30mins and an hour, to give time to experiment.

May the best chip win...

Don't worry about differing CPUs, it's just a bit of fun and if enough enter we can have categories for each CPU, e.g. I know a few have a 6300.

Entrants

Buxtyyyy
Buxtyyy
Stedos
r00t
Buxtyyyyy

WE HAVE THE WINNERS!

r00t: Overall winner with 4.8GHz on his 3570k. Just you wait...

Buxtyyyy a close second with 4.7GHz on a 4670k, stupidly trying to jump straight to 4.9 not 4.8.

Stedos was just behind with 4.6GHz, although unvalidated, so I'm afraid he is disqualified.

Buxtyyy and Buxtyyyyy fell in last, but still clocked in a respectable 4.4GHz each on their 6300s.

Thanks to all who took part, there may be another competition in the future.

Can i enter my AMD sempron 1 core proccesser? I've overclocked it to 1.2 ghz, its running at a stable 100c, with only a few fires here and there!

I've also got a nice ghetto style custom cooler, I can't believe no one has come up with this idea. This is cooling my rig at the moment.

If it runs IBT, sure! Feel free to tweak it higher before the comp, but the comp is when most will start.
