I'm looking for games like Age of war and Age of castles, things that have units that you can upgrade units and or like a castle/defence, but i don't want it to be just like a 1 day thing i want something that i can actually play. Does anyone have any recommendations for me? I don't want to pay for anything, I don't mind signing up or something like that

I have to agree here! This is a very strategic game, my computer would not run this but I have played the civilization games on the xbox and can't get enough!

Not many people like it but Empire Earth 2.
It's a pretty old game but I like it because it's like AOE in a way but you have multiple ages.
The other which is strongly suggested would be Stronghold 2, or Stronghold crusader.
