Look inside the usb ports with a flashlight, the little metal prongs in there are touching the side of the metal casing shorting out the xbox...you need to take a small screwdriver and pry the prong away from the metal so it isn't touching...then I usually tape up the port so you don't stick anything in it and short it out again...or you can send it in to have a new usb port installed...I charge $40 for something like this. Ill check but I don't see how they would bridge randomly

my bad man I just noticed that this was a slim, 0101 if it's not the usb ports you will need a reflow of the CGPU, I offer this service for $25 plus 12.95 shipping if you're interested.

Switch everyone off.
Turn your Xbox off, plug the mains out of it.
Turn of your broadband connection server, then switch it all back on.
