Synopsis:

Tony Hawk's Project 8 is the first game in the series to be designed from the ground up for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. But Tony's not quite ready to leave the old systems behind just yet, so a version of Project 8 has also been released for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable. The game has the same sort of skating goals that you'd expect from the series, but it makes a number of seemingly arbitrary control changes that'll stand out for you whether you've played other versions of Project 8 or not. The end result is a game that feels like some kind of crazy hack or bootleg version of the original game.

Story:

In the start of the story you find out Tony Hawk is starting a team of the 8 best skaters in town called Project 8. You start out ranked 200th and you have to complete challenges to get lower in the ranks until you finally reach the top 8. Everything you do helps you get higher in the ranks. There is challenges for all types of players to help you rank up. You do challenges for pro skateboarders.

Story Rating: 8/10

Gameplay:

The gameplay improved a lot from all the previous games. The trick system and generally everything improved a lot. One of the new things in the game is you can control the player during crashes and rack up hospital bills. Players still have the option to get off your skateboard and run to areas. One of the new things in the game is the nail the trick mode where the camera zooms in on the players board and feet.In nail the trick mode you use your analog sticks to control your feet and the tricks.

Gameplay Rating: 8/10

Graphics:

The graphics look amazing in this game. Better then all the previous Tony Hawk games. The are very clean and smooth. The clothing and skateboards look extremely realistic. The tricks look great and the setting for the game look awesome. The graphics on PS3 and Xbox 360 looks amazing. The only bad part of the game for Xbox 360's and PS3 is because their is a unstable framerate, the framerate worsens on the PS3. That is probably the one fault of the game.

Graphics Rating: 10/10

Controls:

The controls are simple and easy to get used to. They did not change much from the previous games and they were great in the game. I do not think the game could have had better controls. People all ages can learn and get used to the controls until they are like second nature. I think you will enjoy the controls in the game.
