How To Install Minecraft Mods [Tutorial]Posted:

The purpose of this Tutorial is to guide people in installing mods to their Minecraft Client. This is not how to install them onto a server but if this gets enough views and people want one on how to install it to servers I will make one. This is orientated towards Windows if you have a mac you can still use this but some of the directories will be different.
What You Will Need:
Minecraft, [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Modloader, [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] I did not make the mod loader. It was made by a guy named Risugami. This is for 1.8.1 only.
ModloaderMp, [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] I did not make this either, but I am not sure who did if anyone knows I will make sure to add them. This is also only for 1.8,1
AudioMod, [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] Again I did not make this it was made by Risugmi. This is also only for 1.8.1

The Mod that you Wish to Install
If you have Modloader installed already you do not need to install it again.
Steps:
1)Download all of the required downloads in the What You Need part.
2)If you have never ran minecraft (Don't know why you are looking at this if you havn't) run it.
3)Open up mycomputer, double click on the top search bar until you can type in it. (Windows 7), For xp just go into the search bar.
4) Type in %appdata%
5)Once in the folder open .minecraft
6)Go into the bin folder and open minecraft.jar with winrar or 7Zip whichever you choose to Install
7)Unrar Modloader, ModloaderMp, and AudioMod.
8)Drag the files from the Unrared Modloader into the Minecraft.jar and then inside the minecraft.jar there will be a folder called META-INF delete it then close the jar. Run Minecraft then close Minecraft.
9)Open the jar again and then drag the unrared ModloaderMp (not all mods require ModloaderMp) and close the jar. Run Minecraft then close Minecraft.
10)Open the jar once more and then drag the unrared AudioMod files into the jar and close the jar once more.
11)Run Minecraft.
Now everything that is needed to install the Mod we can install the Mod.
Some Mods require different methods and will probably tell you what to do differently in the directions. If they tell you to do stuff differently follow the directions. If you find one and need help feel free to privete messege me and I will take a look and see if I can help you.
I will be using Pokemob as an example but you can use what ever mod you are trying to install.
Installing Your Mod:
1)Download your Mod for me it is [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
2)Unrar your mod.
3)Go back to your bin folder in the .minecraft folder and open minecraft.jar with winrar or 7Zip.
4)Drag the contents of the unrared folder into the jar for pokemob you only drag the contents of the everything you need in the jar folder.
5)Close the jar
6)In Pokemob you need to drag the resource folder into the .minecraft folder and then merge the folders.
7)If your mod has no other specific directions than you can close the jar and then run minecraft and your mod should be installed if it has other directions do them now.
8)Play and enjoy
