So I'm a photographer and video editor who does very little gaming but may start streaming games with my son. I'm also setting up for a podcast (video and audio) and live streams as well in gaming and tutorial type stuff related to website, seo, photo, etc).
Most common uses are Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, OBS and normal business and web stuff.
I know I need to upgrade and have been researching but need experienced opinions on what I'm doing with this amount of money. I know a little about computers and built my current rig a while back before the mining craze and price increases. I like to build better than I need so it might last me a few years before being completely obsolete.
Anyways... Any advice, directions, corrections, would be appreciated... What's not necessary? What can be downgraded without performance hits - or what should be upgraded to increase performance? At this price point should I be looking more at the x299 systems? Or will the new i9 balance price vs workhorse performance?
I prefer Intel and I do like Asus and - no real reason, just brand preference based on my history. Wanting an air cooled quiet system that has no performance hiccups when working.
The two M.2 memory cards I plan to use for OS and programs and the second for cache for Adobe or as a stage for current projects.
