That budget just isn't going to work if you want to buy new unfortunately. You could get a system for that price, but not with peripherals. Plus you'd probably have to go with an APU instead of a discrete GPU if you're not comfortable buying used.

If you have a look on Facebook groups, Gumtree, etc you can find a basic 1080p monitor and kb/mouse for £50 pretty easily. That would leave you £300 for a system.

You can get used Ryzen 3 CPU's for £50 easily, a motherboard for £35-45 and 8GB DDR4 for about 45 quid. Older used Intel stuff is not priced that well on the used market currently unless you go like Sandy Bridge but with how cheap you can get used Ryzen, I'd just go with that.

Buy a new SSD and PSU, do whatever you want for case, just grab something for 20-25 quid

Storage: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (£35.92 @ CCL Computers)
Case: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (£20.39 @ Aria PC)
Power Supply: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (£47.99 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £104.30

Then that should leave you around 50-60 quid for GPU which could get you a GTX 960 or an R9 280x.
