So I want to sell my phone which is worth about £600 (new iphone 8 plus) but ebay is full of scammers charging back etc and I don't want that kind of money in a paypal account because they can be sketchy as hell.

Where is best place to sell a phone? I guess doing a bank transfer payment is the best but some people might not feel comfortable

Gumtree is a good place to sell mobile devices just make sure if you do sell it that it's in daylight and in a public place or under cctv

OR

I know they undercut but CEX or Cash converters are the only ones that come to mind

bank transfer would be great but its finding someone who trusts you, maybe one of your friends or family members would be interested.
if you are trying to avoid ebay, there are other places, like for example CeX, but there prices for purchasing can be laughable sometimes.
you just have to look round until you find the right one, hope this helps

I'd say eBay or gumtree, just make sure you get the money first and in ur bank account before you ship the phone. That way you can't get scammed. Don't use PayPal, only use bank transfer or cash upfront. Or you could use CEX or cash converters but keep in mind they will take like 20% of the cut lol, so might be best seeking private.

ebay. I always sell my items on there. Protected purchaser and protected seller.
