I got a loan from my bank when I was 18 but I had a stable job and even at that they charged me extra interest as I didn't have much of a credit rating. Not worth it all.

Sorry for your loss.

I would just ask some of your family members if they could help you pay for your moms funeral but if they can't I suggest that you create a go fund me page.
Sorry for your loss.

You need to be able to demonstrate your ability to repay the loan for the foreseeable future and have a valid purpose to take out said lending.

Usually your ODI will request payslips and bank statements to verify income but this varies between institutions and countries,

You can go to your bank and get a personal loan and explain your situation.

Sorry for your loss man.

My mom passed away two years ago with absolutely no life insurance.

Here's my biggest piece of advice, do not listen to the funeral home. These people are there to MAKE money. They are crooked, if you take a life insurance policy of 10k in there, they will be sure to set a funeral for 9k. HOWEVER, some funeral homes do offer payment plans. This sounds morbid, but it is completely true. So you can certainly check on that.

You have other options as well, did your mother collect social security before she passed? If so, contact the SSA. They may be able to offer minimal assistance. Next, is you may have to have a smaller funeral/service than initially planned. Before my mother passed, she requested to be cremated, and we had a service in the basement conference room of the hospital my mom worked at. It costed me around $2,000.

Contact your mothers employer, if she was employed, find out if she had pension plans, or a 401k.

I can rattle off a million things better than a loan. Please contact me if you need to talk.

I know times like this are tough, you can do it bud. I know you want to honor your mother the best you can, but she has passed, and is in a much better place. She is already proud of you. Keep your head up. You can do this.

At 18 they know you don't have credit so for most cases they say your job is your credit. As long as you have a decent job and have been there for a bit you will get a loan. The amount is hard to tell, but you'll just have to call and ask.

Also call around to funeral homes, some might offer financing? If that's not an option then you're looking at fund raisers (Facebook, gofundme, etc.)

Go to your local credit union. Take out like a 1-2k loan. Spread it out for like a year, this will help build your credit score. You most likely won't get anything over 1.5-2k as you probably don't have any credit.
