Hey guys, new to any tech forums. I honestly don't know too much when it comes to the parts and all that, but the end goal here is to acquire a decent gaming desktop that I can have for years to most likely upgrade or whatever.

Budget: Between 1000-1200 USD

Monitors: don't have to be factored in, but if you find some decent cheap ones to throw in, I'll consider it. If I get monitors I'll want two.

Games: My favorite pc game is Ark still, you might hate me for it but it's fun. Idc how well it'll run most other stuff. I figure if I can run ark no sweat then I should be good on anything else I want to play.

Software: Basic college stuff, chrome, Microsoft office, all I really need for school.

Aesthetics: I don't want some weird looking cube lol.

Rebates/Promos: If the rebates and promos make it the total go into the budget I'll take it into consideration.

When: Looking by the end of the year.

You might be able to find used GTX 1070s under $300, so I'd maybe look in to that. Or honestly, you would probably get away just fine with an RX 580, which you can get new for $210 and 580s are selling with 3 free games right now;

or an 8GB variant instead of 4GB for $30 more;

I'd only take the new GTX 1070 over an RX 580 if you're using a 4k monitor tbh, or maybe 1440p. If you can find a used GTX 1070 under $300 though, I'd definitely consider that.

Can you tell us what monitor(s) you currently have? Make and model. Also, what would your budget be for a system and monitors if you're willing to spend more than $1200? Can't really recommend monitors if I don't know what your currently using or what your budget is.

Yeah sorry, well right now I just have a plain old Samsung, I honestly don't know the model. Was a hammy down. But I'm trying to see if I can get some free ones from my work or my dads work. I would say budget for two monitors would be $200-250 in total. Which I know is low. But those I can get one at a time. I doubt I'd be using a 4K monitor, I'm very flexible with monitors. And trust any recommendations

I did just find an ASUS - VP228H 21.5" Monitor for $100 on amazon. Reviews seem great for the price.

Any additional add-ons that could help with wiring management or whatnot that you recommend?
