I posted a few months back that my iPhone 7+ charging port was going bad, I replaced it but kept using the Walgreens bought charger, DO NOT BUY THESE, THEY WILL MESS UP YOUR CHARGING PORT, IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE TO ME.

The issue that I'm having now is that my phone will work with any type of charger but now, my iPhone 7+ headsets won't work and I'm using an AUX cord (with the adapter the iPhone 7s bring) in my car and the iPhone will just blare music from its speakers and won't work with the adapter.

Now, here's the other issue. I've had to restart it twice now. Once I've restarted the iPhone, the right side of the phone (by the camera), will get insanely hot and it will continue on the Apple logo in a sort of loop until it finally turns on. Once turned on, it will recognize my headphones or the AUX cord but a few seconds into listening to the music, it will cut off and my headphones or AUX cord won't work. I've tried it with different headphones and AUX adapters, it still won't work.

Is this a battery issue (due to it overheating and remaining in a loop when restarted) or is it my damn charging port again? I'm getting sick and tired of this iPhone having the damn problems it does. Any help will be greatly appreciated. If I didn't explain myself well, let me know.

I went to a phone repair place, had it cleaned. The AUX adapter had actually started working well until it was cleaned; once I went to use the AUX adapter, it didn't even do anything. I really have no clue what's going on with it.

As you have tried using the aux plug with multiple things that would hint to me that is an issue with the device. Firstly make sure the latest version of iOS is installed as they are constantly releasing updates to resolve issues that occur. If you have no luck with that then I believe it would be a hardware related issue, how much did you spend on your charging port replacement part? If it is not already fixed you could order a new part and then return the one that is currently in your phone. If the second one doesn't work either I would say it's probably down to a damaged chip on the motherboard which requires micro soldering if it's repairable. If you have any enquiries get back to me as I'll have notifications enabled for this post. Ps I fix phones for a living lol.

I'm late but if it does turn out to be a hardware problem (which by the sounds of things I believe it is) then contact Apple support and ask to speak to a senior support rep, and tell him that you're going to get a replacement since it's the phones fault. I got my brother a new 6 when his bent (which was a hardware issue yet they didn't want to cover it in the store) so i got upset with the senior rep and he talked to the guy in my local apple store and pretty much made him give my brother a new device. No bs.
