Overview/Synopsis:
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 tells the story of brotherhood, faith and betrayal in the most complete sniper experience ever. Take the role of an American sniper named Jonathan North, who is dropped into enemy territory in northern Georgia, nearby Russian borders. Explore large open-world maps with dynamic weather and a day and night cycle that actually impacts play and decisions. Customize weapon equipment, accessories, vehicles and a drone, and utilize the three pillars of gameplay to your liking: Sniper, Ghost and Warrior.

Go behind enemy lines with the ultimate modern military shooter. Play as an American sniper dropped in Georgia, near Russian border. Choose your own path to accomplish your missions across an unforgiving open world.

Gameplay/Plot:
Sniper Ghosts Warrior 3 is where the player takes control of Marine Sniper Capt. Jonathon North, who played a vital role alongside his brother was sent to the Russian-Ukrainian border to destroy a bunch of abandoned soviet era weapons before they were stolen by terrorists. The two brothers succeeded in their mission against the terrorists and destroyed the weapons, but the brothers were then ambushed by an unidentified group of special forces soldiers. Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is like its predecessors in many ways, but also very different. This is the first game in the series to feature an open world environment, which is easily explored and has hidden features scattered around the world. This opens a bunch of side missions that can distract the player from the main objective or give the player a better chance to find some new equipment in the battles that the main campaign throws at you.

The side missions are known as "War Crimes" these can be completed at the players discretion whenever, however with whatever the player wants to do it. The game can be played 3 different ways depending on your mood, you can be stealthy and make your presence known to as little people as possible, which is the best way to enjoy the game in my opinion. You can also go in all guns blazing which is always fun in any game you play. You can also combine the 2 play styles and play aggressive but stealthy at the same time. Like in the last 2 Sniper Ghosts Warrior games, the AI are dumb, you can sneak past the easily and pick them off one by one very easily. But some of the guard patrols are sneaky, so watch out who you shoot and when as some line of sights are hard to judge. With the open world environment, means you need a mode of transport, in this case you get a car at your spawn location. The driving physics are awful, but more than adequate for the type of game it is.

The number of weapons you can choose from in game is very nice, as a standard loadout you get 1 sniper rifle, 1 assault rifle, shotgun or a crossbow if you haver the appropriate DLC and 1 pistol accompanied by an abundance of equipment, like grenades, throwing knives and smoke grenades. So overall the number of things to choose from is very nice for a game like this. Along with the amount of equipment at your disposal, you get a drone to send in that can mark targets for you while getting a bird's eye view, so you can plan your mission accordingly. As you progress through the missions you can upgrade the drone with various attachments that allows you to hack from a distance into CCTV cameras. It's a very cool concept that works a treat.

The gun physics are very impressive, with the advanced techniques of wind speeds, bullet drop and scope elevation to take into consideration when lining up shots, but this can be helped by a shot indicator for the newer players. All this information is found on a little dial in each of the scopes and play a vital role in any mission you do. It's one of the most impressive things in this game in my opinion, that works flawlessly. Gun customizations are very good also, you can apply camo's and various attachments throughout the campaign, as you unlock them.

Overall the single player is very good and entertaining that lasts for round 15-20 hours actual playtime. This is relatively good for a game like this with DLC extending this further.

Graphics:
The CryEngine used in Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is very impressive, CryEngine has always been great, but this, at the range of which it renders, is great. Transitional scenes are diverse and fluid with great situational environments, lighting is spot on with dark areas making you almost invisible for those who like to sneak around undetected. The bullet cam which has featured in Sniper Ghost Warrior games now for a while also has some nice features, when the player makes a headshot from a long distance, bullet cam follows the bullets trajectory until it reaches its target, this is also a good way of spotting new enemies. The terrain quality is very good but this was expected due to the CryEngine's capabilities. Furthermore, night situations have more factors due to moon light, this differs from every mission, which is a nice touch as no mission feels the same.
Overall the graphics in Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 are very good and more then adequate to immerse the player in and make for an all round great performing game.

Controls:
The controls are pretty standard compared to other first person shooters around, with a few additions here and there for the extra features that most other games don't have. Everything is where it should be and can be re-binded to fit the persons personal preferences. When game's get more features their controls usually get more complicated along the way, but the dev's have really thought about it and made it so everything is easy to use. There are menu's within menu's that help the user select exactly what they want. Overall it's a very easy game to play as far as the controls are concerned.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 as a game is very fun to play. You can play it in any style you want. If you're looking for a game to sit back, relax and shoot some noobs from a long long way away, then this is the game for you.

Overall rating: 8/10

Definitely one of the better single player campaigns I have played in a while.

This seems like a pretty good game, especially for playing the story mode alone, that sounds pretty fun. Would be much different to play instead of the FPS' that I actually play.

The series is probably the best single player sniper campaign around. So I'm not sure how you dont like this game. And you haven't backed up the comment as too why.
