I dont understand this and never will.. Alot of people hate police.. When I say hate, I mean they HATE police.. wish they were never here.. Im like if you were in serious trouble you would most likely call them.. without them there would be very little order in the community and alot of crime and death. Where I live police are seen as bad guys and I hate that so much.. Yes there are bad cops out there but for the most part they are nice, hard working people. I love and respect what they do.. I dont understand how people could hate them like that..

Sorry had to get that out.. It gets under my skin when I hear stuff like this.

I can imagine being a cop is one if not the hardest scariest job out there. Every time they leave for work, full well knowing they could get shot, or worse. They do have my respect, and for people hating on the police, are just idiots and dont know what they're up against. I understand some cops are trigger happy, especially in the US, but let's be real, 1 in 3 households have a gun, I mean if I was a cop, and knowing that I would be edgy asf, and would not give anybody the slightest chance in shooting me. In most cases cops will shoot you if you are not following orders they are giving out, example : ''Take your hands out your pocket'' Like if they didn't do it the first time that tells me they up to something, then they quickly take their hands out fast, but its a phone, but the cop shoots, then everyone now hates the cop for shooting someone with just a phone. But they dont hear the full story, the cop was in fear for his life as the person did not first do as he was told. Its just one of those things, they have to put up with a lot of shit. I have full respect for the cops, yes there are some bad cops out there, just like with any other job. Like I read a story before, where a cop was called to a house disturbance, and the person opened the door to the cop but he had a knife in his had. The cop said ''Sir please put down the knife'' and said this a few times and the guy did not follow the cops orders, and he came towards the cop with the knife still in his hand, and the cop shoots him. It did turn out the guy was disabled and was unable to speak. But the cop did not know this, for all the cop knew the guy could have been doped up on drugs. It was just unfortunate of the outcome. But put yourself in the cops shoe, if you told someone to put a knife down and did not do it, then came towards you, what would you do? Me personally I would have shot his kneecaps or something, not shoot him dead, but then again in the heat of the moment, you dont really have much time to make that call. But now everyone hates the cop because the media get ahold of what happened and says ''cop shoots innocent disabled man'' you never hear the full story. This is what so hard about being a cop, making the right calls and staying alive at the same time.

I mean, I wouldn't mind being without cops, then I can simply take everything into my own hands without the worry of being charged with any crimes. But cops are good people, we basically pay for their protection and if we don't we get in trouble, so I suppose it's a win-win situation.

People hate the police force until they need them. People will blame the whole police force because of one or two rotten apples that can usually be found in any line of work. Yes, some police officers have done terrible things during their time on the force: corruption, bribery, extortion, blackmail, and other examples.

But, blaming an entire group of people for the actions of a few (this happens in MANY different things, not just with the police force) is idiotic and illogical. People, especially some hardcore anti-fa 'radicals', love to start shit with the police; and while I am against fascist points of views and racism, can't and won't tolerate that treatment towards the police force.

When talking about officers shooting and killing unarmed civilians, I believe those officers should be stripped of their badge and, if the worst happens (death of the victim), should be put into custody. I've seen some situations where the officer gets put on paid administrative leave when the officer shoots and kills an unarmed man; what kind of bullshit is that? If the person is armed and extremely dangerous, putting the lives of others at risk, that's fine with me; kill him, if you have to.

Just responding to the last part. Cops actually aren't supposed to shoot suspects in the leg because one of the biggest arteries is down there, and if a bullet hits the artery or the bone in your leg and a bone fragment punctures that artery it's near immediate death. I think it's like 4-5 minutes to bleed out.

If there weren't any cops on our planet.

We would definitely see change on how we live.

I think getting rid of police altogether would bring about some issues, but I'm totally down to change it here in America. Demilitarization and better training are very much needed. Personally, I just can't say that most are great people and only a few are an issue. There are so many videos of cops planting evidence and the other cops do and say nothing. Then we have all of the unarmed or non-aggressive people who are being shot and no consequences of it. Or that thing where Chicago police has/had a black site to take people to beat them? Or like how my cousin, who was on parole for legitimate reasons, had his money stolen out of his wallet by an officer in my house and the other officers did nothing about it and just yelled at us and threatened my cousin to tell anyone (the officer knew he could ruin my cousin if he did.) I just get this feeling that the job attracts certain individuals that should never have that type of power, and if they do get in for good reasons, the job and those they take orders from end up changing them. I respect the hell out of what a cop should be. I'm just not seeing that being executed currently.

Tbh. When people say they hate cops in their area is because when they get pulled over or anything they make a racial discrimination against them if they are colored. The cops go on high alert because they think they're gonna get hurt by anyone of them. But when a white dude gets pulled over its a complete different story. The cops around me are exactly like that. Yes there are good cops and yes there are bad cops. The only difference is the cops near me handle the situations way different. I have witness both racial situations. From literally just sitting in my car with friends in a car parked in front of me and cops show up out of everywhere and mfs just start getting thrown because "they thought they heard a girl scream." And there were no girls even around... another situation where I got pulled over by the one of the cops who pulled up to us and it was a complete different attitude. The reason people yell **** cops is because they feel they are being dealt unjust. They feel that the government is against them 24/7. Tbh. People don't do crimes for NO REASON. I can't say their reasons but imagine yourself in that situation. Living in poverty. Can't get a job. Go to government offices to get further to only be set back. You don't have a home. You're living couch to couch. Its a lot deeper than you might think it to be. "I DON'T SEE WHY PEOPLE DO CRIMES..." open your eyes and figure out why then! It's literally not that **** hard.
