Beings that I travel the country (US) for work I do a lot of exploring and inadvertently put myself in a few dangerous situations from time to time.

I was working in Chandler, AZ and I had never been to Mexico. I Googled how long it'd take to get to the closest town in Mexico which was Sonoyta and it was like 3 hours away. I decided it was worth the drive so I had my mom next day air my passport to me and I drove down to Sonoyta. I was with my boss who had been to Mexico plenty of times so to him it was nothing special. We get to the border and park our car (can't take a rental to another country) and walk across. As soon as we walk across there's a couple buildings offering Mexican auto insurance, some street vendors in tents and a shack in the middle of the road for a taxi service. The first thing my boss said is "well this is weird". We went to the shack and asked if this was the town of Sonoyta or if it was further away and NO ONE spoke English. One guy finally said something like "Sonoyta 2 miles that way" and flagged a cab down for us. So now we're committed to going "2 miles that way". The cab drops us off in the town were there were business and places to eat and such but it was very run down. I noticed just about everyone was carrying a gun and definitely wandering who the 2 glowing white guys are in their town. We decided we'd eat and get the hell out of there. We get to a restaurant but neither of us know Spanish so we can't read the menu so we're trying to explain what a taco is for a couple minutes. They bring out some tacos (which I don't think were made with beef) and get out of the restaurant but we were wandering how we were going to get a taxi back to the border.

This is where the scary part comes in. We're wandering around for maybe 30 seconds and some skinny Mexican guy comes running up to us yelling "gringo's! Gringo's!" trying to get our attention. We stop and this dude starts speaking Spanish to us so we tell him we don't know Spanish then he starts talking to us in broken English. Long story short he got deported that day and gave us a list of phone numbers that he wanted us to call to tell his family that he was OK and got deported. He kept asking if we'd get him across the border this and that and we kept telling him we had no way of doing that but we'd call the numbers. He was telling us he just needed to get to another town to get back across the border so then I started thinking this guy is clearly Mexican (obviously) and probably knows this town. I ask him if we can have a minute so I take my boss aside and I tell him let's give this guy $20 for a bus ride to the other city if he gets us a cab back to the border. We talk to this guy for like 5 more minutes then we give him some money and he flags down a random car and starts talking in Spanish to this guy and tells us to get in. This is an un marked car, clearly a personal car but we don't have much of a choice because I'm sure he wouldn't like us saying we don't trust him lol. He jumps in too and starts talking in Spanish to this guy and I'm looking at my boss like great, we're going to get robbed and murdered... Thankfully the guy took us to the border and all was good but I honestly thought something good was not about to happen.

Probably my scariest situation was when I was scuba diving in Florida and we were feeding sharks, until a massive great white flew up on us, turned out he was just a tad hungry and we ended up feeding him too and he was completely calm! Scariest, but also probably one of the coolest situations I was ever in.
Good thing it's hard to tell you pissed yourself when you're in the ocean.

In Puerto Rico, they hold an event every year called 'Las Calles de San Sebastian' in which San Juan, the capital, is a big party.

This event gets very full and obviously, it attracts bad people to it as well. The first year I ever went there, I was standing next to some guy and I see this other dude pull out a gun and shot him right in the gut... RIGHT NEXT TO ME. Dude died right there on the spot and I just freaked out. Probably the worst moment I've ever had, I was about 15 or 16.

When I was 13 I had a burgler enter my house. I called 911 and waited on the roof. He then proceeded onto the roof where officers tazed him and he fell off the roof.

Would have to be losing control of my car on the motorway at 70mph in the seconds leading up to impact you just never know what your fate will be when its all over and done. Walked away with a scuff on my elbow. Can't say the same for the car sadly cost me over £1300 for repairs.
