I have purchased a new monitor and wanted to use my second monitor to view a live feed from the cameras on the external of my house whilst using my new monitor for gaming and general use.
However, I have set up both monitors and they are being recognised in display settings. I currently have extended view so I am able to switch between monitors. I have no icons on my second monitor for some reason, just the task bar. When I open an app it opens on my 1st screen and not my 2nd for some unknown reason.

Is it possible to have one monitor with my cameras and one with my game ?
Any help is appreciated

By default windows will open everything on the monitor that is detected as 1.

If you want things on the second monitor, just drag the window to the second screen.

Apologies for not being the brightest. But I tried dragging the app in to the second monitor and the open app will not appear. I can only drag and drop the icon. Once i open the icon on the 2nd monitor it opens in the 1st.

You wont have any desktop icons on your second monitor due to it being an extension of your main monitor. You can either go in to display settings set which monitor you would rather be your main one, or simply drag the icons over to that side. Another option is just copying and pasting any desktop icons on to that second monitor so you have access to them on both screens.

As for making an app open on a specific screen, what you can do and its kinda annoying but its the only way I know, you can open your app move it on to your desired screen, right click on the app and select move, move it around a bit with your arrow keys then left click to confirm the position it should then continue to open on that monitor.
