So ive just overclocked for the first time. I have a i5 6600k With a AIO Water cooler. I ran Aida64 after i Watched a short Beginners video on overclocking. I had no trouble booting or running AIDA for 10mins stress testing the CPU. I Changed the base clock to 4.2GHZ and the voltage too 1.250 And i havent seen any problems. But you guys know better than i do. If theres anything else you wouldve changed or any advice i would love to hear it.

I haven't been on the Intel Architecture since Haswell so I'm not aware of what the average OC is. With that said, that's a small overclock with not a lot of volts so I say you're all good IMO.

As long as your temps are fine and your 100% stable, you can't really go wrong.

You could probably push that a lot higher if you wanted to.

Looks like you're peaking around 50C, which is more than acceptable.

Thanks for the feed back, And what do you think a good stable high OC would be? And voltage should stay same correct? Or just tweak it up if i have problems?

Overclocks vary from CPU to CPU. Yours could OC really well with no need to add more volts, or maybe it might need all the volts.

I'd check out [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] to give you an idea of where most people are sitting.

From looking at your volts and temps, you could probably push that to an easy 4.5+
