Thanks everyone for the feedback I really appreciate it! I'll be sure to try RS3 at least and then even if I dont like it I can always just switch to osrs anyways

Aphrodite wrote OSRS is the alpha, RS3 is the beta. Really, RS3 is extremely easy and doesn't really present much of a challange.

On OSRS, you can really feel the painful grind of leveling up and other things. That's just my opinion though.
You clearly don't do endgame then. Do some Telos then come back and say how easy it is. I've played RS for 12 years and have been with eoc since release and Telos and AOD I cannot do them.

Tbh I prefer OSRS but once you get into RS3 it's not as bad as you think plus better graphics and easier leveling

ive played both and both have their ups and downs, i prefer rs3 simply because i enjoy the combat. its a challenge, and i can take those skills to another game in the future, 07 is just click and wait for RNG to kick in.

07 is not nostalgic like everyone says, its entirely different, people know the fastest ways so everything is the same 1-99 for everyone. YouTube will pretty much carry you to whatever you want. The only way hardcore players get their 07 kicks are to either pk or make a ironman. Most of the community are elitists. If you don't know anything, prepare to get flamed. its pretty much the mmo version of League of Legends. Extremely toxic and all knowing.

Rs3 is a more experienced game, it takes a while to learn everything, even after missing a year and going back to it (around 2016 i came back) there's still a lot to learn and a lot is confusing even til this day since they release new things every week. PvP is dead, the only thing Endgame players do is PvM, use money from pvping to finish buyable skills to get 120m/200m exp. same as 07, YouTube will pretty much carry you. Only difference is rs3 is mechanically more advanced, boss wise. Even if you watch a video on it, you will almost always still die. The community on it is either maxed and settled in with their day 1 group of friends, or almost on their way. i usually never see any new players on the game.

OSRS is more of a grind and not P2W 100% its also alot easier for someone to pick up and play because there isnt so many things to do. OSRS has been out 3 years and have been small with updates just adding some boses and stuff to make the game easier like shift click to drop, I Feel like RS3 puts out a new boss every couple weeks or atleast they where when I was playing that game, I play both as of right now but my heart is still for OSRS

Last boss to come out for RS3 was Nex: Angel of Death which was almost exactly one year ago (another 27 days). The next boss to come out being Solak which is probably going to be March. No idea where you get every 2 weeks from.

Also osrs is p2w too it's just in a grey zone cause of how bonds work. Not to mention nobody really even is competitive anymore in RS3 maybe except in the top 100 or if a new skill launches? I never personally cared about ranks I just have fun playing the game.

Found the league player,

Any insight why the game is bad? EoC? what makes it worse then 07?

Vorago? Gwd2 that added 4 bosses? there's been plenty of bosses added after nex's release.

I personally prefer OSRS. My opinion may be biased but I simply can't get into RS3, I don't like the graphics or the gameplay. While RS3 is P2W, OSRS could also be considered P2W due to bonds. I consider OSRS a bit more challenging than RS3, I've managed to put about 1,400 hours into OSRS and I'm not even close to being maxed (sometimes I just sit at a bank doing nothing but most times are grinding skills).

It's really up to you. If you decide on OSRS, hit me up if you need any help on what to do. Enjoy 'scaping!
