Fire breaks out at tower block in Manchester's Northern Quarter as several apartments engulfed in flames

A huge fire broke out on the ninth floor of a 12 storey apartment block in Manchester's Northern Quarter.

Several floors appear to have been affected by the flames and smoke, although it is not yet clear if there has been any casualties.

That fire is pretty high up, anyone on those floors above are probably casualties. Recently happened in my town.

Heat rises and that's the killer..

Woke up to a fire near my neighborhood as well. Luckily it wasn't apartments like this, that's terribly sad.
