So after a while I thought it was my Xbox one controller causing the problem as my astros work on the 360 but not on the Xbox one I tried 2 Microsoft controller adapters and they still didn't work on my xb1 the wire for the headset that I have has 2 rings around the 2.5mm aux leads on both sides as I brought it on eBay as I lost my original cable my question is if the cable is right or not does it supposed to have 2 rings both sides or is it 3 or 3 on 1 side and 2 on another as I cant remember anyone with astros able to give me some info or anyone on here? I've updated the headphones also and my original Xbox headset works on my xb1 as I've found that and tried it and had no problems

I have the old gen A50's connected to my Xbox One X. It's a little tricky setup but it does work. Do you have the Xbox One stereo adapter kit? That kit comes with a stereo adapter for the bottom of your controller + a cord that converts 2.5mm to 3.5mm. You'll need this cord converter to connect from your A50 headset to the controller. I'm using an Elite controller which has the 3.5mm jack so I don't use the adapter but you can if need to. So you already updated the A50 headset and mixamp? Good, from Xbox Settings app you want to change party chat audio to speakers so you can hear people and your all set to go really.

okay great thanks now I'm confused as it works on 360 just not the Xbox one and when I press the buttons on the adapters I had which I now sold.. they didn't even make a beeping sound just lit up when I pressed the mute button and beeped with regular earphones so maybe it was just my talkback cable or the adapter cable which had a fault ty again

Yeah if it works on 360 than that cord I showed shouldn't be the issue, I'd say could be issue with the cord converter or the adapter itself.
