Recording my Xbox One through my Elgato with OBS and the game itself looks great and the game noise can be heard(gun shots, sound effects, etc). However, the party chat I am in cannot be heard?

Does anyone have an idea as to why?

You have to have voice coming through both headset and speakers

Dont know why that is my turtle beaches pick it up automatically, what mic you using ?
