I haven't really looked into pc parts since the amd r5/7 200 series came out so I'm not sure what is the best for me. I'm currently running an old pc with
-Athlon X4 750K
-some cheapo £35 MOBO that I cant be bothered to check
-GTX 1050ti
-8GB ram
-CX430 PSU
-1TB HD
At this point my keyboard mouse and monitor cost more than my pc so its time to upgrade. I'm looking to keep the gpu ram and psu for now so throw me a good cpu upgrade, mobo, and an ssd. Budget is £300 for those but I can always go +/- £50.

Closed path do not buy old parts when you can get yourself on a new path within budget. There are some other SSD's you can go with this is just the cheapest within relative budget.

Would recommend spending a bit on a new case since we don't exactly know what you're building in.

EDIT: forgot about currency rip

just noticed that RAM pricing ffs

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] 16GB kit slightly more.

What monitor, keyboard and mouse are you using?
What case have you got?
What do you use the system for exactly?
What are you looking to achieve with an upgrade?

I dont know the name of the case but its rather large and supports all mainstream mobo sizes. I use the system for media consumption and gaming. I have a Ducky shine 5 white, Logitech g502 and some generic asus 1080p monitor for like £120. I'm looking to mostly just make the system more responsive but better game performance in more cpu intensive games is a bonus
