Just looking to see if anyone on TTG has used the Open University before in the UK?

I'm looking to go to my BCs Degree in Computer Science as I want to get into code/programming/software developement etc.

Has anyone ever studied with this university before? Is it any good in terms of materials etc?

You're supposed to get DVD, book materials etc posted out to you for assignments, but at the same time, I feel missing out on a 'Brick Uni' would be bad because studying from home you wont get into computer labs etc to really put theory into practice.

I'd like to try gather some other new students in the course through student forums to see if anyone wants to try start something off as a team to see if we can somethig started for all of us to put into portfolios for when we graduate so we can show team work and proof of being able to use the skills we learned. Maybe it would be groundbreaking, maybe it'll be terrible. It's all about experience in the eyes of an employer!

Open Uni would be a good place for me to go though as I work full time and haven't got 'much' spare time, but I feel I could study full time from home as my FT job is also working from home.

Any advice or info if you've had a past experience with Open Uni would be appreciated guys as well as any tips etc!
