Does anyone actually know how to make your XP stick after getting the level 50? Been doing this for over a hour now and all the methods I'm trying, just don't seem to work. Thanks in advance.

Sigh. I presume you mean the XP infection thing.
You have to get the XP in a game where the host has the infection - NOT YOU AS THE ORIGINAL HOST. You kys and get XP then when the host migrates, that host must leave. etc etc. You should get it to stick if you level up, then the host migrates to you then you leave. Also wont work if you're last.
You can restart the game every time to make sure it stuck or switch to zombies/mp

I do restart my game but every time I sign back in, I get booted back down so many prestiges

Do what I said and check after every prestiges. A single unstuck prestige will render everything useless.

With black ops 1 xp lobby's their awkward to stick
When I was last in one I had to be in a game where the host had the infection and verykne kys and and the next person to get host would leave and so and so on
