Looking to start a small business to make a couple of bucks on the side. I'm just looking for suggestions on what to do. Budget is $250-$1,000. I'm currently 17, so I'd like something on the side of my real job. Any ideas are welcome - thanks.

I would go with what you enjoy doing and what you are good at bro!

If you enjoy using computers and are quite technical and are good at fixing problems with them then maybe look into repairs etc.

If you think of a hobby that you are good at and have good knowledge in then that's always a good start.

Do you have any skills ?

Investing that money into learning skills would be better; anything from woodwork courses to graphic design.

If you already have skill then use that money to advertise your services. Posting leaflets, online and new paper adds.

Sorry, should've listed a bit about me/my skills. I've been doing Martial Arts for about 8 years, Police Explorers for 4. I know a good amount about computers and I'm in the process of learning computer science

My father owns a business and has for 15+ years, the only difference is he had 20,000+ budget.

Do you know exactly what you want to do for the business?

Rent a local sports centre and teach the martial arts you have learnt. The amount of people who are taking up martial arts now is growing rapidly. Here in the UK with the recent exposure of local athletes has elevated it tremendously. I now have 6 local centres ranging from Krav maga to BJJ to Fencing and I am atleast 30 miles from any city.

Considering the recent fight between McGregor and Mayweather there is no better time to get people involved in combat sports. This can become a great part time career that you can work for a hour a few days after the day job.

Best of luck !
