Hi everyone,

this is going to sound increadibly dumb, but i spilt soda on my laptop keyboard (macbook pro)

the laptop is still working great however the keys where the soda got onto get stuck down and arent clicky anymore. Is there a solution to this? and what would happen if i took it to apple?

Thanks

I dropped Coke on some of my mac numbers a year or so ago, were sticky for a while but now they work just fine. Probably just got lucky.

Try a alcohol swab. If you can get into the crevices with an alcoholic swab then that should definitely help. If you aren't able to get completely under the keys then you might be stuck with it unless you do take it to Apple per se. I'm sure they'd be willing to fix it for a nominal fee of $500.

Try and see if you can take the keycaps off, if so then put those into some warm soapy water and let them soak for about 10 minutes, make sure you take a picture before doing so lol. Then get some q tips and some isopropyl, 90% works the best so get that and just slowly work your way through the crevices and keys themselves. This should help
