Hey guys, i'm having issues with my desktop and wondering if there is any PC Gurus who can help me out!

I think I have some type of virus on my desktop, and I have no idea how to get rid of it I was going to simply factory reset my system just to get everything off it and backup all my files on my secondary hard drive, since my OS is pretty much the only thing installed onto my SSD.

Whenever I try to factory reset from the Microsoft system it just says 'there was an issue' and doesn't give me the option to do anything! Does anyone have any programs/tools that are Windows 10 friendly that can help clear up my system and make it run faster, because I also notice it freezes sometimes when I turn it on and only works normally if I reset it again!

Thanks in advance.

Actually thinking about, I've had this error before myself.

1.Go to Settings-->Update & Security-->Recovery-->Advanced startup, click Restart now.
2.In the new window, Select Troubleshoot --> Advanced options --> Command prompt.
3.Next, select the administrator account.
4.Now provide the credentials for the admin account you opted in the previous step.
5. Finally, in the Command Prompt window, type following commands and press Enter key after each:

cd %windir%\system32\config
ren system system.001
ren software software.001

You can now close the Command Prompt window, which takes you to Windows Recovery Environment screen. Select Continue option to get into your operating system. After a reboot, youll find that 'There was a problem resetting your PC' issue is solved already.

That fixed it however.
