If you're in shape, you should be good. PT isn't that bad really. For the polygraph, just make sure you haven't really done anything against the law in the past, because they will find out. If you ever did, maybe as a child or something, make sure to let them know.

But for gods sake do not become a police officer for the money. That's the worst reason to do so.

you make it seem like it's bad lol what's bad about it and what do you mean by in shape?

Bad? My bad if I made it sound like that lol, I just mean don't go in there if you just robbed a bank with johnny the night prior. By in shape, just be motivated really. PT is never usually "fun" but I heard it really wasn't that bad, just normal exercises. Go there with a positive attitude and you'll be fine.

Also, try to be around 15% tops for your BF%.

First they took us into a room and took everyones blood pressure. then we went off and did step ups, then push ups, then had to bench press just one time only based on your weight, next was the jump test, just a measurement of how high you can jump. and then lastly was the mile and a half run we had to do around the police station.

And for the poly, you go into this room with the officer. he sets a camera up facing you which is recording, and he tells you you need to be open like a book. and tell them everything. and i mean everything. my police station was very lenient on things like smoking weed in the past or small thefts no more than $100 and such things like that will still pass the test. no i have never done drugs or stole but thats what i was told and that you'd be surprised the things people have done and still passed and became officers. anyway, after that he starts with the questions. its about an hour long. after that you sit in the polygraph chair, he hooks you up to the machine and he asks things like "is everything you told me today truthful? are you the type of person to betray your friends, family, or co workers? are you the type of person to commit crimes? etc its only like 5 questions i dont remember all of them. and that was it.
