So,
Need a BluRay Drive and have a spare BluRay player.. Took the drive out and its 2 ribbon cables connected the the player.
What I want to know is: How do I make the drive with the ribbons USB? I want to use it as an external to my laptop..
I took it from a Samsung BD-C6500 and the drive is a BD-P6A
Any help/advice is appreciated.
Cheers.

I can't find pictures of the actual drive. But since it does not have data out puts and they are ribbon, you can't do it. Well, I wouldn't say you cant, but its something that you would have to engineer. You wouldn't find a tutorial on youtube on how to do it.

You'd save a lot of time and probably a DVD drive if you just bought a new one.
