Well, I actually need some help from the PC section of the Forums. This window keeps CONSISTENTLY popping up (even after closing it down with the Task Manager) and it constantly "resets" itself. What I mean by that is that it closes by itself and re-opens constantly and it's pretty damn annoying.

Sorry about the picture from my phone, can't access TTG from that desktop so had to do it through my phone.

Quick google looks like a browser hijacker. Look here for a decent explanation of what it is - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I'd download [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , do a quick scan and it should nuke it.

Else, go to C:\Programfiles\Amazon\Amazon Assistant and just delete it all.

I'd also delete it from startup if that's a thing, or the browser extension if it's there too.

Malwarebytes also do ADWCleaner now, not sure if it's built into MB3..

But this is the tool to fix this problem.

Hey guys, back again.

I've run both of the programs and it hasn't stopped the pop-up from appearing.

I also tried to go to the Program Files in C: and deleting the whole folder itself but the process stops because it says the program is in use and must be closed down. I can imagine that happens because the pop-up keeps itself running in the background when it gets closed down.

It's really annoying to use this computer, any other suggestions?

See if you have a system restore point available for the OS drive. If so just revert back a while. (back up anything you want to a external or USB) only if you have the option to.

Yea that's gonna need more than a simple virus scan. I can do it remotely, but it won't be time friendly.

Since Malwarebytes and ADWCleaner didn't help.

Install Hitmanpro [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Setup the free trial and let it run it's course. Have it delete anything that it shows as harmful (if you got your Windows OS from a torrent, don't delete KMSpico if that comes up at all during the scan.)

After that is done, restart your PC and see if the problem persists. If the problem still keeps coming up, boot your PC into Safe Mode. To do this, press the start button on the bottom left, click the power button and when hovering over Restart, begin to hold Shift. Click restart. Once it restarts click Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart and after the next screen appears press the number 4 on your keyboard to start Safe Mode. Once in Safe Mode, run either of the scans you ran previously before and see if it will still detect it and actually delete it. If it doesn't detect and/or fully delete, go back to the folder you were in and remove it. If it gives you the problem it did when you tried before, trying killing it in task manager. IF at that point it still doesn't allow you, press Window Key + R, type in services.msc then press enter and see if you can find that program at all in that lis and stop/disable it. After that, try killing it again in Task Manager and then removing the folder. Once the folder is deleted, might as well try another scan. Once you're done, restart PC, it will put you out of safe mode upon restarting and see if it is now cured.
