I have a number texting me saying I have to send him money on paypal. Is there anyone here that can reverse trace the number and give me the name of the person. Almost 100% they gave me a fake name to cover themselves.

Just block it mate. Unless they have something on you just ignore it and leave it be.

I would but I get paranoid that people can hack me and claim stuff is what I sent them when it's not. They've threatened to call the cops so I want to find the real person behind this.

If you're curious call the number. I will tell you right now they will not answer and it is a fake phone number.
If they do answer just say "this is deputy detective Joe Hansen with X PD, I'm investigating claims of phone scamming connected to this number. May I ask who I'm speaking with?" and they will hang up. Be prepared to say your badge number is 326 or some crap like that and get them to think you're in law enforcement and they will stop contacting you.

Well first people texting you off the bat is scary as it sounds. I would block them or report their number.

Only about 3 of my friends have my number, if i get a dodgy looking text i block them instantly.
