Hey guys i'm looking to build a gaming PC but not actually to use for playing games on... Looking to build a PC that i can use to record/stream my Ps4 and Xbox on twitch and YouTube using OBS (Open Broadcast Software). I currently have a gaming laptop with an i7 processor but the laptop isn't getting the job done... i want a PC that is strong, fast, reliable and can handle what i want to do with it... unfortunately my budget is about $800 possibly up to $900. If anyone can link to me to complete builds of full lists of parts or just leave single suggested parts please do! Everything is appreciated!

MUS1CMAK3R wrote ZO6's build will work well, if you're looking to save $20 you could get a cheaper PSU

I wouldn't do that, being cheap on a psu is never a good idea

You say unfortunately about having a budget of $800/$900 but that's a really good budget.

You could buy something with the required capability for cheaper but if you want to stick with your budget then go for Z06's build as I wouldn't have anything much different.

help us out a little bit.

Aesthetics?
Will you plan to game on the rig?
What is the main use, as there is really no need to pay $900 for a recording PC.

OBS is fine on laptops, just lower your bitrate, and a few other settings (output res, track quality) and will be fine.

He says he wants a gaming PC but doesn't want to game on and just simply use it to record.

If you read the post you would see that i said no need to pay $900 for that.

He would be fine with a simple $300 tower to take the load away. We do not know what he is using, other then OBS. Plenty more then just what he said in the post.

I was just simply clarifying that he had already said he doesn't intend to game on the PC, I guessed that you had missed it.

No where in there does he state that this is ONLY for streaming. (sure he said "but not actually to use for playing games on"), but then he would call it a workstation.

I clearly said it

What is the main use, as there is really no need to pay $900 for a recording PC.

If you can dismantle my entire post why not read it a little more. Asking someone if they plan to game on the PC doesn't mean that i was stating that is, or ever WAS a gaming rig.

You assume he is only streaming, stop arguing (flooding this thread). lol. Done until OP does his final answering to the questions. We can't help much with no knowledge of what he has/needs.

SO back to the questions.

@OP

Overclocking?
Aesthetics?
Budget (currency) The $ could be AUD, CAD, or USD.
Will you PLAN to game.
What are you using to record the game play? (assuming xbox DVR/playstation equiv?)
Are you doing any editing? as you said (recording), and if so WHAT software will you be using?
Any special requests, promos ETC.

Do you need a keyboard, mouse, or a monitor/speakers/headset/mic ETC included within the budget?
