So I put my RGH up on eBay for starting price at $165 and buy it now for $220. But today these two guys are going at it and the current bid is currently at $265 Is this normal or when the auction ends do I have to make sure I end up getting paid first before i ship or what? It's just weird that the price is rising like that.

Make sure the money goes in your PayPal before sending it out .

With eBay, the winner of the bid will have to pay as soon as he wins. Ebay sends an alert to the buyer that it is time to pay since his bid won.

You'll get your money first before having to ship. As soon as he pays, eBay will let you know that it is time to ship.

Be careful with the RGH listing, though. Mine got taken down (luckily) after I had already sold it and shipped it which means I didn't lose my money. As long as the buyer pays and you ship, your listing being taken down will have no effect on you getting your money or the buyer receiving his bought item.

If you've got your PayPal linked to your eBay, it will take some time for the money to be "authorized" for your use; that being if it's your first sale on eBay. They give you a certain date in which you'll receive your money in your PayPal Wallet and after that, you're going to want to transfer the money to your bank account which could take 1-2 days more depending on your bank.

My listing lasted about a day or two before it got taken down. Luckily I had already sold it and marked it as shipped. As long as you do that, you won't have any problems whatsoever with your sale.

If the sale goes through eBay, there's "Buyer Protection" which will help out the OP with any attempt of getting chargebacks, etcetera.

Except if the listing gets taken down. If that does happen, I believe he's not qualified for "Buyer Protection" but once the buyer sends the money, I believe it's not possible to chargeback unless he calls his bank and says it's an "unauthorized payment".

The problem with that is that when sold through eBay, the money shows up in your PayPal balance but you won't be able to use those funds until the item has arrived to its destination (eBay keeps track of the item's shipping address) and once the item reaches it's destination and is marked as "Delivered", it takes another few days for the money to be made available in your funds to use.
