XepherTheCat wrote PSU efficiency curve isn't relevant at this point. But I meant as in general every day use, it is relevant, unless you want to be at 50% efficiency every day.

I'm well aware. However, what I said was that 430W would be adequate for a GTX 1080. Pair it with pretty much and CPU you want, other than X299 or an FX-9590 and it's gonna be fine.

Fact is that a GTX 1080, full system will pull less than 430W(especially with a stock clock R5 1400), like I stated. Whether it's smart or not is an entirely different argument.

Of course it is. Dropping the SSD to get a Gold rated PSU in a $600 rig would be the unreasonable thing to do lmfao.

Sundown wrote I ended up buying everything in that first build except I changed the case.

Yeah, case isn't really a huge deal. What case did you go with? The Tesseract is a decent budget case but there are plenty of other options and you can't really go wrong with anything in the $30-40 range, they'll all be pretty similar in terms of quality, for the most part.

I actually just noticed there was no picture with the case's side plate.
The side opposite of the window.

If its open and all my cables are shown I'm going to be pissed af.

Already ordered so can't stop it now :/

Thought it might be the S340 lol. I recommend one of the Phanteks or Fractal cases over the S340 now since theyre slightly better but the S340 is fine. The other side is solid, no window on the right.

2:50 shows the opposite side of the panel, which is solid. You're good lol.

Argument essentially started due to me pointing out a minor fault. I'll take the blame on this one.

My bad. Wasn't trying to put on a shit show. It's just that when people say 430W can run a GTX 1080 with a decent CPU, it kinda just puts a bunch of question marks on my head. Minimum recommended would be 550 for me. For a GTX 1080. Ideal would be 750W if you were to save electricity. Efficiency wise, you want around 50-70% draw of total capacity of PSU for best efficiency.
