I bought this computer prebuilt but I have recently upgraded my GPU to a GTX 1050ti.
I am currently looking for a better CPU mainly because I barely run games with the one I have now. I use my computer mainly for gaming so please help me find a better cpu so I can run the games my GPU should be letting me. I know this budget is horrible but is there any CPU I can buy that works with my current motherboard that is better than the one I currently have for $40 or less? My CPU is so trash and is holding me back from playing any game!!!!! I found this one would this run games such as PUBG, and Overwatch on Low settings fine? as in atleast 60 frames? And will it work with my motherboard? Or if you can increase the price to 60? Max $60 and it has to work with my trash motherboard .

On that tight of a budget, this is going to be a hard one.

Personally, I'd wait till Ryzen 3 comes out and pick up a 1200. It's looking to be around the $120 mark. Id then either save a tad more for a AM4 compatible motherboard since you'll need that if you want to go with Ryzen. Try to collect at least $200.

You'd need a new motherboard, and RAM to go along with the CPU if you went the Ryzen route. There isn't much sense in upgrading from what you currently have. You could go the Intel route with low end pentiums.

Assuming you have a decent enough case, and power supply this should be just fine. If you were fine pushing the 200, just grab a new PSU (if your current isn't the best) and case while you're at it.

Dual core 'upgrade' is stupid. You should get a Pentium G4560 at least. You're going to need a new motherboard for any reasonable upgrade, and with that comes the need for new DDR4 RAM.

Ryzen 3 could be a great option but you're going to be looking at $250 for R3, 8GB DDR4, and a decent B350 motherboard. Alternatively, you could get a Pentium G4560, 8GB DDR4, and a cheap H110 motherboard for $175.
