Dell have the best ultrawide monitors and if you buy it, you won't regret it.

You definitely have a budget, even a rough budget. We also need to know your currency before we can recommend anything.

As asked above, we'll need to know your specs.
Also what will you be using your system for? If games, what games? What programs, if any?

That's a pretty significant budget, and you've got a very capable system. AFAIK, games like Overwatch and CS aren't great on ultrawide monitors, it's no benefit at all(apparently). From my experience, Forza and GTA look good on ultrawide, so I've no problem recommending them for that. They're also very nice for Adobe programs, so an ultrawide would be a good choice, but high refresh rate would also be a good choice for you since you'll be playing BF, CS, Overwatch, etc.

Since your budget is very large, you could get this;

3440x1440 ultrawide, IPS, G-Sync, 100Hz. Kick ass monitor.

Your next best option IMO, is to wait for 4k 144Hz panels to start selling, and potentially get one of those. I imagine they'll be around the $1200-1500 price range, but honestly could cost more so that might not even be a valid option once released.

So, currently, your next best option after the Acer ultrawide is this;
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
1440p(not ultrawide), G-Sync, 165Hz, not IPS.

or one of these;

Again, both 1440p, G-Sync, 165Hz, but this time they're IPS panels.

I can pitch in on this a little.

Overwatch will take time getting used to on an Ultrawide monitor. A friend of mine uses one and complains how things look stretched at a 1440p Ultrawide. Heads don't look as smooth as they did on his 1080p or even 1440p before Ultrawide. CSGO however, seems to benefit a little more from Ultrawide by the sole fact that you have better looking angels if you're in a corner watching.

I believe ASUS's 4k 144Hz monitor was going to cost like 2k and I don't think we're there yet with 4k @144Hz, except maybe on CSGO with a 1080 TI. I will say though, if he's playing FPS, definitely get the 1440p's you recommended. I play on both 4k and 1440p 144Hz, for competitive FPS games, it's always 1440p, for single player games, 4k.
