Are we already seeing small signs of maybe a world war 3?

TENSIONS between the US, Russia, China and North Korea are continuing to escalate with each super power refusing to back down.

Kim Jong-un has already threatened weekly tests of missile launches, with relations becoming increasingly strained. So are these signs of an outbreak of World War 3?

Could World War Three happen?

Tensions between US, Russia, China and North Korea are increasing.

North Korea conducted two nuclear tests and 24 ballistic missile tests in 2016 alone, defying six UN Security Council resolutions banning any testing.

And it has conducted additional missile tests on 2017 including one that failed when the missile blew up soon after launching.

But the secretive country has shown no signs of slowing down, warning that it is ready for full out war.

It has even warned that it would be a piece of cake to nuke Japan and that anyone supporting their detractors would also be in the firing line.

The hermit state has threatened that nuclear war could break out at any moment, but most experts believe it would not launch an attack as it would not survive a revenge strike by the US.

Paranoid Kim Jong-un has even dubbed Americas leaders a bunch of rats sneaking around in the dark amid claims the CIA plotted to wipe him out.

The tyrannical country has threatened the US with a full-scale nuclear war and claims the superpower is running scared of Kim Jong-uns missiles.

President Trump is said to be bolstering American deployment in the region by sending the USS Ronald Reagan and the USS Nimitz to the Sea of Japan next week.

He has already dispatched the USS Carl Vinson, powered by nuclear reactors, carrying almost 100 aircraft and accompanied by destroyers, a cruiser, and a submarine to the area.

Russia, along with China, is said to have sent a spy ship to the area to ward off the task force amid rising tensions in the region.

And Putin urged the US to show restraint.

There was a time when it seemed like the prospect of war with the likes of Russia and China had disappeared with the end of the Cold War.

But tense relationships between the worlds major military players means that the outbreak of another global conflict has been raised again.

If World War Three does kick off how could it start?

Russia and Americas involvement in the war in Syria has created a situation where the two nations planes are reportedly flying dangerously close to each other on bombing runs.

If World War Three does kick off it seems the Russians could have something to do with it but it is more likely that if it ever did happen, it would be sparked hundreds of miles away from Syria.

An expert claimed Latvia will be Ground Zero the country where the next global conflict will begin.

North Korea has warned nuclear war could break out at any moment, as US warships move into the Korean Peninsula but experts have said it is unlikely the hermit state would engage with the more powerful US.

Professor Paul D Miller of the National Defence University in Washington DC who predicted the invasion of Crimea and the Ukraine conflict said the Baltic state is next on Russias hit list.

But Putin wont use conventional troops. Instead, he will recreate what happened in Ukraine and stir up the patriotism of ethnic Russians in the country.

Putin will instigate an ambiguous militarised crisis using deniable proxies, probably in the next two years, he said.

Who would win the war?

This is an impossible question to answer with any certainty, but if you are basing it solely on hardware it would seem the US is in the best position to win.

The US is the only country in possession of fifth-gen fighter jets 187 F-22s and an F-35 that is not yet out of the testing phase.

Russia is developing one stealth fighter and China is working on four.

In terms of submarines the US Navy has 14 ballistic missile submarines with a combined 280 nuclear missiles.

They also possess four guided missile submarines with 154 Tomahawk cruise missiles each and 54 nuclear attack submarines.

Russia has only 60 submarines but they are said to have outstanding stealth capabilities.

They are also developing a 100-megaton nuclear torpedo.

China has five nuclear attack submarines, 53 diesel attack submarines, and four nuclear ballistic missile submarines to date.

However, the emerging superpower is developing more.

It COULD happen but North Korea isn't going to be acting on its own if it does reach that point. They could have the firepower to "nuke" places but they'd have no way of avoiding complete annihalation if there would be a response.

North Korea must have an ally somewhere to have that much confidence in that "full out war" could break out at any moment. That's what I think at least.

The United States, Russia and China are all in agreement that North Korea has been breaking multiple international laws.

China has been putting sanctions on North Korea for a bit now and Russia has also started to do it.
But as for World War III starting? I highly doubt it though.

North Korea has very old equipment from Tanks, to BTR/APC's to aircraft. Most of their equipment is from the cold war and very out dated and would not stand a chance against modern weapon systems.

If war was to happen with North Korea, i would likely say within a few days or weeks, the North Korean Regime would fall.

The only strong defense that North Korea has is it's air defense which they have a strong one.

I saw from an intelligence briefing, a satellite view of NK. There about 200 circled icons which represented their air defense sites.

Those could be eliminated by Tomahawk missile strikes, once the air defense is cleared, an air campaign would dominate their forces.

It's standard military strategy.

For example, look at Desert Storm. Iraq has a massive force with strong equipment. They covered their tanks by digging them into the sand so only the tanks main weapon system was showing making it harder to hit.

What they didn't know was we had A-10 Thunderbolt's which fire depleted uranium rounds. We wiped their entire tank defense out within hours. The aircraft is nicknamed the tank hunter for a reason.

One on the far left.

Desert Storm was over within 100 hours, so you get the idea.

But as always, there would be strong causalities on our end as well.

North Korea wouldn't use a nuclear weapon, they know the response would turn North Korea into a smoldering black hole but if it came to a last resort as they knew they were being overrun, i could see it happening then.

I think the fact that North Korea is violating "International Law" is irrelevant

I've posted this reply before and I'll do a quick mock up.

WW3 isn't going to happen because of North Korea. Russia and China are not taking North Korea's side. Asking America to show restraint isn't insinuating that Russia or China is going to war with America. North Korea has been claiming for years that they will nuke the Americans, it got to the point in 2013 that Kim Jong-un told Russian and Chinese embassies within North Korea to evacuate because he can't guarantee their safety; Russia basically told them to piss off and China ignored the whole thing. The only way Russia or China would aid North Korea in a war is if Russia or China was also attacked; in which they use North Korea to further their (Russia/China's) needs in the war. The only one(s) that need to worry about North Korea is obviously South Korea and maybe Japan. Russia and China may be "allies" with North Korea, but it's pretty much like that one kid you talked to in school once, you regret talking to and wish they would just leave you alone, out of their problems and always throws a temper tantrum when things don't go their way.

What I find to be a much more realistic scenario isn't the idea that North Korea will gain nuclear weapons and immediately launch them, but that they will get them and use them as a deterrence against any state which hoped to intervene with their slavery and starvation ridden status quo.

Once North Korea gains nuclear weapons, assuming it will, the people living in North Korea and their children for generations to come will be doomed to a life of servitude and starvation because nobody will be able to reform the regime.

This is why I am much more hesitant to say that a war with North Korea is a bad idea, but I don't expect regime change in North Korea to work either because a culture which has endured a theocracy of sorts for the past half century is going to be extremely difficult and costly to essentially reform into a democratic nation.

The only way i can see a war happening is if North Korea strikes first which i doubt they will, they are well aware of what will happen.

If it comes to the point of them striking first, We would most likely drop leaflets as we did in World War II in the Pacific where we informed cities that were non hostile that the American Military would be dropping bombs and to escape while you can.

If conflict broke out, there would be a good old Mexican Standoff.

USA, South Korea would be pointing the Gun at North Korea
Russia, China would point the gun at the them both

North Korea wouldn't stand a chance in any conflict but it won't get to that level due to the risk of escalating into a WW3.
