I have been looking around and i was thinking about getting the GTX 1080 but its a little expensive and i don't think i'm gonna need that much power. So please tell me what you guys think is a good GPU to get. Looking to sped $250 - $500

I also wanna start PC gaming. I wanna be able to run games at max settings. I Have H1z1 and COD Black Ops 3 as of rn.

PC Specs:
CPU: Intel i5 6500
MOBO: MSI B150M Pro-VDH
PSU: 600 Watt Evga
Ram: 1 Stick of DDR4 (8GB)

The 1080 and a i5 makes absolutely no sense.

What specific PSU is it?
What case?
What monitor are you using?

What case have you got?
Want to narrow your budget down a little? $250-500 is pretty vague.
What monitor are you using?
Sounds like you have one of the cheapo 80+white or bronze rated EVGA PSUs. If it's one of the lower quality ones, it would be worth replacing IMO.

Why? I don't think a i5 6500 will bottleneck a 1080.

Pretty much speeds up your entire system when you install your OS on it. Plus, it's pretty much a necessity IMO for games like GTA V and such.
