Hi I'm thinking about upgrading from a gtx 570 to 1070 and was curious if my pc was compatible or if it would be more beneficial to upgrade something else first. I'm looking to optimise my pc for gaming.

Specs:
Motherboard: GA-P67A-UD7-B3 gigabyte
Processor: intel i7 2600k
graphics: Nvidia geforce gtx 570
Ram: 8GB

I am also having some trouble with I believe the CPU overheating and am using a Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO 3 cpu fan and am curious if this will worsen the overheating issue and if theres a recommended better cooler to prevent this or if perhaps I should upgrade my cpu.

Need to know the make and model of your case and PSU to be able to tell you if the GPU is compatible. Would also be useful if we knew what monitor you're using because if it's anything lower than 1440p resolution, there's not much need for a GTX 1070 really.

As for CPU, I'd re-apply thermal paste and see if that helps. Otherwise, upgrade your cooler.
