fx 8350, top of the fx series. You are better off pairing a rx 470/80 with your current CPU the r7 series of GPU is likely holding you back a little.

I play games and watch videos on the side and quite often my games will get huge FPS spikes. Sometimes the little warning will come up at the bottom of my screen saying my CPU is having to much usage. *I can't exactly remember what it says*
Also USD

You shouldn't get another FX CPU at all. They're not going to be much benefit over your current CPU, and will definitely still hold you back. Your best bet is to save another little bit of money and wait for new Ryzen chips because for $250-$300, you should be able to get an AM4 motherboard, 8GB DDR4 RAM and an R3 or R5 CPU. Otherwise, $250 could get you a locked current gen i5, cheap LGA1151 motherboard and 8GB DDR4. With your current budget, you could go for a Pentium G4560 which would perform better in the vast majority of games(if not all) than your current CPU, and even an FX-8320/8350 but it's still not going to be great for multi-tasking. Your GPU is really what will hold back your gaming performance though.

Oh, also, add an SSD when you can.

Wow, Thank you for all of this info. Like I said, Really don't know a whole lot about computers so i just assumed that the CPU was the cause of the problems i was having.

I have a FX-8300 Black edition CPU and have it paired with a MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X 3GB GPU and I love it. Does the job no problem for the games I play. Very good GPU for the price
