So i've decided to convert one of the stables at my place into a games room for me and the kids. Saying it's for the kids got me the green light to go ahead with it but lets not mess around.... IT'S MY MAN CAVE!!!

So I thought it would be good to make this post to show you how I'm getting on so you can follow the process.

Disclaimer : By no means at all am I a builder!!! I have absolutely no idea what I am doing but learning as I go along.

The corner stable with the top door open is the one ( took this today, forgot to do a before)

Quick Pano of the room.

So today will I will hopefully get the carpet down and get the sofa and some other bits set up. Debating on weather I should swap the window out or not.

Also need to build a new door frame and go see if I can get a decent door from the tip. Trying to salvage as much as possible.

UPDATE

Made a shelf for my amp out of scrap wood.

Installing Kef Home theatre speakers (just so much win!!!)

Used more scrap wood to go around the window, needed dressing up a bit and saved me changing it out. (Yes, I've cleaned the window now haha)

Me cutting shit....

Carpet down, just need to stretch it and baton the edges with more scrap wood.

Pano of the room now, there is another long piece of scrap wood on the left wall but you will have to wait and see what I do with that....

Today will be building some kind of table, waiting for the TV to turn up and installing that and anything else I think up. May move my setup in there too.

Update

Didn't get a great deal done yesterday as the kids came after school and are here till Sunday.

WifeV2 painted a tree on the wall, the trunk is real wood.

Got the TV up and connected it all up (temp setup, cables will be tidy!)

Got some shelves up and the Ironman mask

Next up :

Tidy all the cables, install socket behind TV, finish tree off with falling leaves maybe, Mount centre speaker just bellow TV, build or find a door.

Update

Firstly, I got the falling leaves added to the tree wall and of course got my desk in!

Kids moved some of their crap in, using this table until I build a new one that comes off the wall itself.

Lastly I got some of the cables sorted out. The ones under the shelve i'm not too worried about because i'm thinking of making more shelves to go there for consoles etc?

The Centre speaker is pulling a Sean on me and just will not cooperate!!! The mount can go on three ways but it only want to go one way think I may just Gorilla glue the son of a bitch to the wall.....

Next up.... Build a door out of junk wood (should be interesting), build shelves for walls, Still need the power socket behind the TV but I'm not touching that so waiting for a mate
