You'll get insured again, but it won't be cheap and you'll probably have to buy it with a box again. They'll be able to see if you've had a cancelled policy on the DVLA probably.

He's not choosing to, it's becoming near impossible to get a policy without one when you first pass. :p

Yeah you'll get insured again, but as Skylancer said, your cancelled policies show up on DVLA. You'll probably have to have another box.

Look around though, you may find an insurance company that will take you on without a box, it just may be a bit more expensive.

Because it's stupidly expensive to insure a car without one when you've passed your test. I've had one since I was 18 I'm now 20.

When your 17/18 and your either at uni/college or just started working you dont really have disposable income to spend £2000 + on insurance. I had to pay £2k I think for my first year with a black box and limited miles. New drivers get shafted so hard when it comes to insurance for the first year.

You will get insured again, you just need to state that you've had a previous policy cancelled. Expect your premiums to be higher & good luck at getting a policy without a telematics box.
