I'm currently not a car enthusiast, but i'd like to get into the scene. Currently driving an '86 corvette, but i've came to the conclusion the only way to really start packing hp (imo) is to just get an ls7 swap.

would like any ideas of cheap cars that i can build and work on, not really sure what i'm looking for here so thats why im here!

The 99-04 Mustang GT's have a ton of aftermarket parts. The older cars are pretty easy to work on, but because they are easy to work on they don't put down a lot of power to begin with. For example a 2004 Mustang GT puts out 260 HP, but a base model 2013 V6 Mustang puts out 305 HP.

002 is right there, being american it will be much easier for you. Mustangs can make good power with very little modifications, they're fast anyway tbh.

If you've ever heard of Chris Fix on youtube, he bought a mustang too, he was able to drift with stock power, it had more than enough

Some people just go overkill though

Mustangs probably easiest to gain HP and you can find a good deal on a mustang. if you really don't want to break the bank go for a hatch civic or build yourself a 240

Just in case you were expecting a 1998 E36 with doors that have never been opened.

He listed it at a whopping 260000k miles lol

You could get a 240, drop in a SR20 (hell even a 2JZ), and then boost it. [HOONIGAN]
