While money is not an issue for me at all, you still did mention that the 1070 would be better off to go for over the 1080, which I ended up throwing 2 1070's into my system. Now time to jump onto a whole new build in the next month or two, give a little time for possible X299 or just jump ship with Ryzen and get the 1080 TI, maybe add in 2.

I'm willing to bet your 2 x 1070s will perform pretty damn close to a single GTX 1080(meant 1080Ti) so honestly, I wouldn't even bother upgrading this generation unless you went like 4k 144Hz and really needed extra performance. SLI 1070s is still enthusiast level performance and hardware. If you're gaming a lot, don't bother with Ryzen. If the majority of what you do is encoding, editing, etc, then a 1700X could be a good shout.
