Story time. So our old fridge broke that we've had for around 9 or so years and we decided to get a new/used one. My dad went onto the app let go to find a fridge that he liked for $700. We told the men to bring the fridge to our house and we would pay them. They installed it and left with the $700 and left us their card. Something didn't seem rite as soon as they left because the fridge wasn't cooling. So this morning we all woke up to see that the freezer was at 60 degrees and it's supposed to be at 0. So we got scammed by some sc***ags for $700 and they blocked my dad and hasn't answer him.

And also the fridge doesn't cool. Lmao what brand new fridge doesn't cool and if they didn't scam us then why did they block us and our numbers?

This is why you never buy anything used before seeing it work. It's always buyer beware.

In this case you have a couple options. You can simply let it go, or you can try to get your money back.

You have the guys phone number, barrow a family members phone and call this guy saying you are detective _______ with the BBB investigating a complaint on reports of a non working appliance sold as working. Give them the customers info and the time and date that they did the install and ask for their side of the story. Of course never let them know that you are the actual customer, but imply that the customer wants to bring up legal action, then after a couple hours try to call them from your phone.

Does the fridge have an ice maker / water spout? If it does, is water coming out? A simple issue could be that they never hooked up the water, or if they did they forgot to turn it back on before leaving your house.

TBH if they were scammers they wouldn't have given you all their correct info. Sounds like a problem with maybe the way they hooked it up or it might have unknowingly got damaged through delivery
