My current spec is pretty shit:

Operating System
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1
CPU
AMD Phenom II X4 955
Deneb 45nm Technology
RAM
4,00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 669MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard
ASUSTeK Computer INC. M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 (AM3)
Graphics
SAMSUNG (1360x768@60Hz)
1024MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series (ATI AIB)
Storage
232GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB ATA Device (SSD)
931GB Samsung M3 Portable USB Device (USB (SATA))
Optical Drives
No optical disk drives detected
Audio
AMD High Definition Audio Device

Now i have purchased an cheap upgrade package:

AMD FX-8350 Black Edition CPU

ASUS AM3+ 970 PRO GAMING/AURA

HyperX Fury DDR3 1866MHz 8GB Black

and im getting a monitor today from my friend.

I dont know so much about computers on the inside, so a little help would be appreciated. I know i should probably upgrade my gpu too, but that gotta wait. Need some extra money for that. And since my power supply is at 550w at i should upgrade that too.

The old one can run games at the bare minimum. I mean it isn't entirely shit the phenom series was rather respectable IMO. You have AM3's top of the line FX CPU or right around it. More ram, and a better GPU. If the External drive is usb3, there is likely a SATA to USB adapter, could simply take that case apart and voila SATA drive.

Depending on your budget you could opt for a 8GB stick, and a 4GB rx 480 from asus, and you are maybe looking at $220 tops, but will suite you for a better experience.

EDIT: i literally didn't see the bottom of the post at first

Well, true. The AMD Phenom cpu has done its job for the last years, but to be honest in 2017, and all these games comming out, and me began playing alot of Arma 3, i just doesnt hold up. I play on 15 fps, on better days 27 fps.

Now im hoping that this upgrade package, which i have not installed yet will be alot better for the games i play. And yes the external drive is a usb 3. So thanks for that tip i will try that out.

Alright, my budget is extremely low at the moment, but in a few month i thinking about upgrading my graphics card.

Why would you buy 7 year old tech? You're not really going to notice much of an improvement with this 'upgrade'. The wattage of your PSU is irrelevant, it's the quality that matters.

That GPU is holding you back the most, once you get the money, i mean if you really want to budget it the 1050 is a decent choice for the little over $100 price mark at this point, but you could save up a little more get a 460-80, they are all available for under $170.

Should've waited and saved up rather than buying a "cheap upgrade package"

Which PSU do you have? 550w is more than enough to power your system.

As i previously stated, low budget. What do you guys recommend then?

Im not much of hardcore pc gamer, im just having some fun in the variety of games since i've been playing consoles all these years.

My games are pretty much arma 3 and cs:go, and some other survival games. Im not looking to run games at Ultra. Medium/high works fine for me. Pretty much all i use my computer for.

My psu is a GX 550W

No idea. Don't have a clue what your budget or currency is.

Yeah correct!

My currency is NOK, i live in Norway.

Current budget is nothing at all, but after one or two months it will increase to about $500-800. As i said im not looking for the best availble tech out there, as im not a hardcore pc gamer.
