Haven't really driven an auto for like 2 years and been driving one the last couple days and its a struggle to get comfortable. Something just feels off, its weird. Like just feels like I can't sit properly. Also reaching for the clutch when slowing down or stopping.

Don't get me wrong auto's are great and better in a lot of scenarios but it was just something I noticed and was wondering if anyone else has had the same experience?

Also was in the parking lot and accidentally slammed the breaks when I was reversing because I thought it was the clutch (no I don't drive auto 2 feet, im not sure how my left foot got in the center and thinking it was the clutch). Completely forgot it was an auto. Had quiet the laugh with my mom.

Yeah you don't realize how heavy your left foot is until you left foot brake by accident lol

Automatic is what I learned and all I know. I do want to learn standard but I don't have any family or friends that have a standard.

When I do drive an automatic I'm holding the shifter the entire time, even tho im not shifting. Just a habit.

I drove all sorts of manual cars while working for VW crazy cars here, Mitsubishi, Mercedes, and had fun driving manual but wouldn't do it daily.

It will eventually wear out the shift forks.
