So......

I would like to spend £500, I have a mouse, keyboard and 2 screens already so just talking about the tower and OS.

Rig will be used for Gaming / Photo Editing

I have made a thread in the past but i'm sure as fast as the market moves that it's out of date.

I'm right there with you, Mac is... No

But, have you ever tried this? [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

It's what taught me how to build, and it gives pricing options, all the brands including some I've never heard of. When it comes to computers, it's something I've always found makes me feel more sure of it all when I do the research and pick my parts. There's some good quality rigs to be made for $500, but shop around a little bit on there and make a list.

I would be more specific, but the parts that are in mind would go way past $500

I will say however, first, static wristband so you don't fry it day one just by touching it, and also, make sure the power supply either meets or slightly exceeds the power demand from the hardware, plus a built in battery to the power supply in case of outages is handy, so you don't lose your progress on any games or anything you're working on, but I'm not sure how much that'd run you

But like I said, check out that site if you've never used it before bro

Also, on that site, check out some completed builds to see what area you're in with your budget, here's a few:

When you click on completed builds at the top, slide the budget slider to your budget and check more of them out
