I catch the bus back from school nearly everyday and im one of the last stops so i see everyone getting on and off, the bus i catch is a public bus so strangers get on aswell here's the bit that pisses me off, I see about 20 people on my bus from my school just walk off the bus and not even say "Thank you" yes this is a small thing but the bus driver is nothing but nice and i really feel sorry for him he atlest deserves a thanks but no the teenagers of this era are just rude and i just dont get it its just sad becuase its not even hard to tecach a kid how to say "please" and "thank you"..

I don't say thank you to the bus driver cause the bus monitor and bus driver hate me with a living passion does that make me a bad person?

People saying it's not that much of a big deal?

But wouldn't you be pissed off when you hold a door for somebody or when you help somebody, you always expect that slight bit of mannerism.

A please and thankyou can go along way when just saying it to a bus driver. Although you pay your fare and get off, fair enough you don't have to say anything. Still the same as saying thankyou to your mum, dad, brother, sister or friend if they gave you a ride you'd thank them. It's just basic manners.

I catch the bus sometimes and I can tell you that It's not just respect for the drivers but for the companies itself. Rubbish, constant swearing, fighting always goes on on buses and its actually disgusting. Not nice for little ones to get on and see this everyday especially when getting the bus home from school.

I agree with you matey.

Exactly!
I just think its wrong that so many people think not saying please or thanks is fine.

I agree but not saying it doesn't make you a "d*ck head", I know a fair amount of people that are terrified to even say something like thank you to people they dont know. To assume that they are terrible people is ridiculous

It's not like you have to say thankyou all the time by all means I don't!
However, I'd class myself as a very well mannered person.

It all depends on how you've been brought up in my opinion. We can learn these behaviors and by somebody not using their basic manners you can tell the type of person they are. Could turn this into "Use your manners!!" topic lmao.
