Hi, I am looking to upgrade my GPU, Power Supply and WiFi Dongle.

Budget: £300 GBP (Possible to go more if I have no choice)

GPU must have 2 HDMI slots and be able to run games like American/Euro truck simulator, Wreckfest etc. Nothing too fancy or expensive.

I know the Power Supply depends on the spec of the PC, So I'll try my best to list the spec which I have now:

CPU: AMD FX - 6350 Six-Core Processor 3.90GHz

Motherboard: GIGABYTE 78LMT-USB3

RAM: 8GB Ram

PSU: Unsure of the power supply, but I have been told it's a 'Ticking Time bomb' lol

HDD: 1TB

GPU: GTX750 Ti

CASE: CORSAIR SPEC-03

If I'm missing anything please ask, I'm a noob when it comes to all this

I am also looking for a USB WiFi dongle as mine is on it's last legs. The price of this is NOT included in the budget. I get around 150mbs from my isp but my current dongle is maxed out at 20mbs, so anything that can do better than that. Any suggestions of a dongle which is worth it's money?

This might be a bit off-topic but I'm not sure where else to ask, and figured someone here might know. I am looking for a hdmi splitter/selector device.
I am running my Xbox One through my monitor for gaming, and TV for Netflix etc. But it's a pain to keep moving the HDMI cable from each screen.

So does anyone know of a device which the hdmi lead from my xbox connects into, which then has 2 outputs which can go into different screens, then some sort of switch to change between the 2.

I have seen online of that sort of thing but the other way around (2 leads into 1 hdmi cable into the tv) But I'm not sure if that would work the way I'm looking for?

As I said, I'm still kinda new to the PC building side, but I'm looking to learn. So if I've missed anything please ask, and I'll try my best to answer

Thank you

I know you're asking for a WiFi dongle, but have you had a look at [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] Even if the router is a too far away, I wouldn't recommend going wireless as the connection can sometimes drop making it unstable. All you do is plug one end in the router socket, and the other where your PC is and have an ethernet cable going from the wall socket to your PC. Connection is a lot more stable and you get the same speed as if you're hard-wired (the majority of the time).

They're cheep too. A decent dongle will cost around 25 GBP, the same price as you can get a home plug.

Hope this helps in any way.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] / [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Video Card: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (£248.28 @ Aria PC)
Power Supply: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] (£51.65 @ CCL Computers)
Total: £299.93

Alternative PSU;

Instead of a wi-fi adapter, I'd suggest these;
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Then you can use a switch, like this;
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
or an 8 port version for like £5 more, so you can run ethernet to all of your devices.

The reason I have to go wifi is because my PC is upstairs and router is downstairs so having a cable running upstairs isn't really an option sadly.

The other parts listed I shall look into, thank you

If you take a look at the home plugs, you will realize that you do not need to have a cable running upstairs. The only cable you have is from your PC to the wall socket, or extension lead. You don't need to have it running from the PC to the router.
