Im looking to upgrade my graphics card and was wondering if this was a good upgrade

The 1060 is a decent upgrade from the r9 380

Benchmarks don't tell you your exact real world performance differences, but they do put things into perspective.

What is your specific budget though? Can you afford a 1070? Even with the 1060 if you get the 6gb model you should be able to play most games at 1080p at maximum or close to maximum settings

Depends. Why are you upgrading? I wouldn't really recommend upgrading from an R9 380 to a GTX 1060. Sure, it's better but it's the same tier GPU, just a generation newer. I'd say it's not worth it,and a GTX 1070 or GTX 1160 should be what you aim for. That said, if there's a specific game(s) you want to run better and the GTX 1060 will run them adequately for you, maybe.
